Students are motivated to participate in decision making process of college Progress.
Advantages of Students’ Inclusivenes

  1. Empowered students are motivated and committed to the institution.
  2. Empowered students are committed to excellence in education and strive to improve the goodwill of the institution.

The Practice:
College has undertaken a number of initiatives in the direction of the students’ inclusivenes. Some of these initiatives are:

  1. Fees waiver is generally given to poor and needy students of Slum area as well as rural area of Bhiwandi.
  2. The College has an independent Cell to look after the welfare of students belonging to economically and socially underprivileged classes.
  3. Suggestion boxes have been installed at the prominent places in the College.



BEST PRACTICE: 2 - Women Inclusivenes


Objectives:-

  1. To extend access of higher education to the girls students and empower them
  2. To mentor girls students on the importance of self-love and care
  3. To make girls students stronger and empower to pursue their dreams
  4. To impart skill, knowledge and make girls ready for doing job

The Context:-

The students admitted to the College come from a low socio-economic background. In our College more number of the girls’ students are first generation higher education entrants. A good number of married women are opting for higher education in our College. Several girls at our College are working.

The Practice:-

To improve the strength of girls, requisite steps were exercised by the College in definite, timely & in well planned manner.



Our college the best example of gender sensitized institution in Thane district as it accommodates female students on first priority as well as it has more female fraternities in the teaching and non teaching staff. With an intention of orienting the female students and fraternities, every academic year gender related issues are addressed by organising lectures of experts from legal practices, law and order, medical practices and NGO's. Gender sensitization programmes createawareness among students through lectures, talks, work-shops arranged by Women Development Cell, and N.S.S.

The college encourges female students and fraternities to take part in various academic, cocurricular, extracurricular and research activities.

  1. Motivational lecture on Women Empowerment on the eve of International Woman’s Day by Dr. Mrs.Prabha Pardesi Ma'am, HoD OF SFC department BNN COLLEGE ,BHIWANDI was invited to motivate teachers and female students.
  2. Female teachers and support staff were felicitated on the eve of Women’s Day to honor their dignity of labor and quality of efficiently managing both home and college.
  3. The College organizes Industrial Visits in which girls are equally motivated to participated.
  4. The participation of girls in 7 days residential NSS Camps paves satisfactory results for gender equality.
  5. The entries for the Intercollegiate Competitions organized by the surrounding colleges are sent for both boys and girls.
  6. Self defense sessions are regularly organized for students
